The Wind - a poem

Maybe the whole point of the wind is pass into a new environment
That the tenderness of our past experiences can be held so dearly with feelings of nostalgia and gratitude
And even when we want to grab on and make it stay,
That the whole point of it was for it to move along
And in all of its essence,
We can feel new things
And walk away with a much clearer purpose
Still with bittersweet balance of joy and heartbreak, yes, but

What if,
The whole point of the wind was to pass, but not dissipate?
What if,
It all becomes a beautiful part of you
And when you walk into a room, you can carry in all the different winds that made you, you
Where people will look at you and think,
I wonder why her wind is different from mine
And instead of resentment, I will feel boldness
Because I am fully me because of them

Maybe the whole point of the wind is pass into a new environment
And it is the change of seasons that bring us life
That it is not things lost, but a gift of newness that sustains us
From chapter to chapter
From glory to glory
Into the next beautiful thing
